Asphalt Paving & Patching

As asphalt ages, it will require repairs to maximize the life of the remaining pavement. Patching dangerous potholes, sunken catch basins, broken, heaved, or alligatored/spider-web areas is essential to the maintenance of your asphalt. The type of patching is determined by the cause of the failure and the service it is intended to provide.

Remove and Replace

  • Tear up existing asphalt to sub-base
  • Repair sub-base as needed / lay new sub-base & compact
  • Install & compact hot mix asphalt to customer’s preferred height

Overlay Entire Surface

  • Key cut around perimeter of area to be patched
  • Clean & hand apply Tack to area being overlayed
  • Install & compact hot mix asphalt to customer’s preferred height
  • Seal the paving joints

Conventional Patching

  • Cut out problem area to sub-base
  • Repair sub-base as needed & compact
  • Install hot mix asphalt & compact to meet the elevation of the existing pavement
  • Seal the paving joints
To prevent getting to this point, make sure you sealcoat your asphalt and repair your cracks on a regular maintenance schedule!
